La police est autoris\u00e9e \u00e0 vous interpeller pendant que vous conduisez pour v\u00e9rifier que vous avez les documents ad\u00e9quats, que votre v\u00e9hicule est en bon \u00e9tat de marche et que vous ne conduisez pas avec les facult\u00e9s affaiblies (sous l\u2019influence de drogues ou d\u2019alcool).<\/h4>\n<h4>La police peut \u00e9galement vous interpeller si vous enfreignez le Code de la route, par exemple en cas d\u2019exc\u00e8s de vitesse.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n\n\t<div  class=\"vc_col-sm-8 wpb_column column_container vc_column_container col no-extra-padding inherit_tablet inherit_phone\"  data-padding-pos=\"all\" data-has-bg-color=\"false\" data-bg-color=\"\" data-bg-opacity=\"1\" data-animation=\"\" data-delay=\"0\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"vc_column-inner\" >\n\t\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\r\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\r\n\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\r\n\t\t<p>La police dispose de pouvoirs plus \u00e9tendus pour vous interpeller et vous d\u00e9tenir lorsque vous conduisez que lorsque vous marchez dans la rue ou dans d\u2019autres situations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">L\u2019ACLC et d\u2019autres <span class=\"tooltipsall tooltip_post_id_1353 classtoolTips1353\" data-hasqtip=\"0\">d\u00e9fenseurs des droits<\/span> estiment que les pouvoirs de la police d\u2019interpeller les conducteurs sans raison valable sont trop larges et qu\u2019il devrait y avoir des r\u00e8gles claires pour emp\u00eacher le profilage racial par la police.<\/p>\n<p>Si la police vous interpelle alors que vous conduisez et vous demande votre permis de conduire (et dans certaines provinces, l\u2019immatriculation et l\u2019assurance du v\u00e9hicule), la loi exige que vous le lui remettiez. Si l\u2019un de ces documents se trouve dans la bo\u00eete \u00e0 gants, il est utile de le dire \u00e0 l\u2019agent et de le pr\u00e9venir, ou de lui demander si vous pouvez le faire, avant de vous pencher pour prendre les documents.<\/p>\n<p>La police peut \u00e9galement vous demander de passer un test de sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 pour v\u00e9rifier si vous avez les facult\u00e9s affaiblies (sous l\u2019influence de l\u2019alcool ou de drogues).\u202f\u202f La police n\u2019a pas besoin de soup\u00e7onner que vous \u00eates sous l\u2019influence de l\u2019alcool ou de drogues pour exiger un alcootest, et peut vous demander de le passer m\u00eame si elle vous a interpell\u00e9 pour une autre raison.\u202f Le refus de se soumettre \u00e0 un test de sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 constitue une infraction p\u00e9nale.<\/p>\n<p>La loi ne vous oblige pas <a href=\"https:\/\/policestops-yourrights.ccla.org\/fr\/requests-for-id-and-police-questions-vs-the-right-to-remain-silent\/\">\u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 des questions<\/a>\u00e0 part pr\u00e9senter ces documents et passer ce test.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e8gles particuli\u00e8res concernant les interpellations polici\u00e8res et la conduite automobile sont<strong> uniquement applicables aux conducteurs, et non aux passagers<\/strong>.
